Waist-to-height ratio

Waist-to-height ratio is waist circumference divided by height, in the same units. NICE recommends it alongside BMI with a memorable rule: keep your waist to less than half your height.

Example

A 175 cm person with an 84 cm waist has a ratio of 0.48. It needs nothing but a tape measure.
